Amber Thill, BS, MSOP, CPO

Specialty Devices: Pediatric and Geriatric AFO’s, Spinal TLSO’s, and Cranial remolding

Amber was born in Corona, California. When she was in High school she played Volley Ball. Graduating High school with a Diploma and AA/AS there was much she wanted to accomplish, getting her Bachelors in Science, and continuing her education for her Masters. Her first interest in the medical field was becoming a physical therapist. In 2006 she worked as a Physical therapist aide for six years in an outpatient setting, but got redirected into O&P after meeting an amazing prosthetic patient that made her eyes and heart open to this specialty.

She decided to attend Cal State University of San Bernardino and graduated with her Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2011. Continuing with her education and dreams, she enrolled into Loma Linda University graduate school. While attending Loma Linda, Amber started volunteering at Johnson’s Orthopedic and it is also where she completed her two years of residency.

Once she received her Masters of Science degree in 2014 specializing in both Orthotics and Prosthetics, Johnson’s Orthopedic hired her on full-time while she studied for her ABC boards. She passed both O&P courses and is now CPO certified through ABC.

Amber provides excellent care for all patient populations in need of orthotics and prosthetics. She completed research in myoelectric training protocols for upper extremity amputees, is currently obtaining a certificate for cranial remolding helmets and is now a member of the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association. She continues to give back to the community by volunteering yearly with Challenged Athletes foundation, Ossur Running Clinic, and PossAbilities Tri-Athlon.

In addition to being Johnson’s Orthopedics’ newest Practitioner, she is also their Resident Coordinator in helping other students like herself get the best hands on experience they need.
